Austin was born in Simi Valley, California and raised in Richland, Washington. In 2019, he and his wife moved back to Washington State after living in Austin, Texas for five years. Austin played collegiate soccer at Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa before transferring to Eastern Washington University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in government.
Austin started his equipment financing journey in 2015 and received his Certified Leasing and Finance Professional (CLFP) designation in 2017. He learned first-hand the various departments of the equipment leasing and finance profession. Experience in business development, credit and syndications, documents and funding make him a well-rounded generalist in the industry. He joined AP Equipment Financing in 2021 as their Sales Operations Manager before being promoted to VP, Front-End Operations.
Austin and his wife are both avid outdoors and travel enthusiasts and spend most of their time exploring the beautiful PNW or planning their next travel itinerary to cross off another country on their bucket list. In December 2020, they started on their greatest adventure yet when they welcomed their baby boy to the family!
