Courtney was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and attended UC San Diego and UC, Davis where she received her B.A. in Economics with an emphasis on accounting. Before joining AP, she worked as an Audit and Accounting Consultant at a “Big Eight” accounting firm and subsequently, an Accounting Consultant for a regional accounting firm in the San Franscico Bay Area. She also established and cultivated her own company, providing accounting services to Bay Area businesses, all while she raised her children.
She joined AP, in 2007, beginning as part-time accounting support to the CEO. In her current role, she prepares internal and external financial statements and ensures that procedures and systems are in place to support the day-to-day accounting team. She also works closely with Human Resources to ensure the timely and accurate processing of payroll.
It is important to her to instill in the accounting staff, the importance of maintaining work/life balance, which can be difficult in an accounting career. When not working, Courtney can be found traveling, spending time with her family, or enjoying any activity involving water, particularly swimming, snorkeling, and boating. She loves her Canadian roots, her Canadian husband, and she is happiest when surrounded by family with her feet in the sand.
