Supporting Our Community Through Employee-Nominated Charities
Every year, AP Equipment Financing encourages team members to nominate their favorite charity for a charitable donation. By supporting causes that our employees are personally passionate about, we aim to make a meaningful difference, both locally, nationally, and globally. This year, AP employees picked 21 Charities to donate to. The charities AP employees selected include:
Alzheimer’s Association
Mission: “The Alzheimer’s Association leads the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.”
Society of Women Engineers (SWE)
Mission: “Empower women to achieve their full potential in careers as engineers and leaders; expand the image of the engineering and technology professions as a positive force in improving the quality of life, and demonstrate the value of diversity and inclusion.”
Helping Captives
“At Helping Captives we provide residential, trauma-informed, therapeutic stabilization services to adult female victims of human trafficking by offering medical, spiritual, mental, and emotional care as well as 24-hour housing and food.”
Healing Reins Equine Assisted Services
“Provides people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to heal emotionally and physically through professionally recognized horse-centered therapies and riding lessons. It is our mission to bring strength, hope, confidence, and joy to people of all ages experiencing disabilities, special needs, or looking for mental health care.”
National MS Society
Mission: “We will cure MS while empowering people affected by MS to live their best lives.”
Public Land Stewards Bend
Mission: “Protecting all land user access by keeping our public lands accessible and protected.”
Little Smiles Philadelphia
Mission: “Our mission is to help heal hearts and create little smiles by providing gifts and fun activities to children impacted by serious illness, tragedy and trauma.”
GiveDirectly
Mission: “GiveDirectly is a nonprofit that lets donors like you send money directly to the world’s poorest households. In doing so, we aim to accelerate the end of extreme poverty globally.”
Council on Aging of Central Oregon
Mission: “The Council on Aging supports all Central Oregonians to age well wherever and however they choose. We empower, advocate for, and provide services to older community members and their loved ones.”
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF)
Mission: “To change the lives of children with cancer through funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families and empowering everyone to help cure childhood cancer.”
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
Mission: “Advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay.”
Sisters Trail Alliance
Mission: “To protect and preserve the outdoor experience through the stewardship of multi-user, non motorized trails and their adjacent wild places.”
Breakthrough T1D
Mission: “Improving lives today and tomorrow by accelerating life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat T1D (Type 1 Diabetes) and its complications”
Stark County Hunger Task Force
Mission: “Stark County Hunger Task Force fights hunger in our community by providing financial, logistic, strategic, and food support to our network of local emergency food pantries and Backpack for Kids programs.”
Brightside Animal Center
Mission: “BrightSide is a high-save shelter dedicated to providing sheltering, placement and prevention services to reduce animal homelessness and unnecessary euthanasia.”
UNICEF
Mission: “UNICEF USA’s mission is to relentlessly pursue a more equitable world for every child.”
Humane Society of Central Oregon
Mission: “Strengthening the human-animal bond by advocating and compassionately caring for animals.”
Autism Society
Mission: “We create connections, empowering everyone in the Autism community with the resources needed to live fully.”
Community Health Care
Mission: “We provide the highest quality health care with compassionate and accessible service for all. No one is turned away due to inability to pay.”
Cascade Canine Rescue East & West
Mission: “To address the pet overpopulation problem through spay/neuter, and education. CCREW, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit group in the Tumalo area of Bend, OR. It is run by passionate volunteers who work endlessly to save, vaccinate, care for, spay/neuter, microchip, and network to find loving forever homes for dogs and puppies.”
Cancer Research Institute
Mission: “Save more lives by fueling the discovery and development of powerful immunotherapies for all cancers.”
