This year, we are thrilled to shine a spotlight on three trailblazing women who represent the values of leadership, resilience, and innovation that define AP Equipment Financing’s culture. Jessica Hyde, Wendy Dixon, and Cori Miller bring unique perspectives, expertise, and unwavering commitment to their roles, driving change and inspiring others along the way.
Jessica Hyde, Collections Representative – Journey of Transition and Success
Jessica Hyde joined AP Equipment Financing around 2 years ago, trading in her nursing career during the pandemic for a new challenge in the equipment financing industry. Since then, she has thrived, surrounded by a supportive team that champions growth and success. For Jessica, the recognition for her impact came in the form of an inspiring milestone when she was named AP Equipment Financing ‘s “Rockstar of the Year.”
For anyone starting in the industry, Jessica advises, “Don’t hesitate to ask questions, think outside the box, and cultivate a passion for what you do.” Jessica’s collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for learning makes her an exemplary leader at AP Equipment Financing.
Wendy Dixon, Servicing Manager – Mission to Empower and Lead
For Wendy, entering the equipment finance industry wasn’t part of a long-term plan. She discovered it unexpectedly through the mentorship of AP Equipment Financing’s own HR Director, Lauren Mann. Seeking the opportunity to help businesses grow and solve challenges intrigued her, and she quickly jumped in, finding a passion in this dynamic field.
Though she faced challenges, like being one of the few women in certain spaces, Wendy has turned those moments into opportunities for growth and progress. “One major milestone was managing both our collections and customer service teams,” Wendy shares. “That opportunity allowed me to demonstrate leadership and create positive changes.” Another highlight came when she represented AP Equipment Financing at the prestigious ELFA Women’s Leadership Conference, which reinforced her belief in the power of perseverance and mentorship.
Her message to women entering equipment finance is powerful: “Don’t be afraid to take up space. Speak up, build relationships, and stay curious. Networking and continuous learning are invaluable.”
Cori Miller, Marketing Manager – Commitment to Innovation
Since joining AP Equipment Financing in 2020, Cori has made it her mission to empower aspiring leaders and elevate the company’s culture. She has witnessed an exciting shift in the equipment finance industry over the past 5 years, with increasing efforts to support women in leadership roles.
Cori played a key role in the development of the CLFP Prep Program at AP Equipment Financing, which has since boosted confidence and pass rates for those pursuing the CLFP designation. She also supports women beyond AP Equipment Financing by participating as a mentor in the ELFA Women Mentorship Committee.
Reflecting on her time at AP Equipment Financing, Cori cites strong culture as a defining factor. “Our motto, ‘The Power of Personal,’ means everything – from building relationships with customers to fostering collaboration within teams. It’s rewarding to see our efforts recognized, such as receiving Monitor’s Best Companies in Culture award.” Cori’s passion for innovation and community strengthens AP Equipment Financing’s mission and makes her a vital member of the team.
